Abbey is Due February 13th! asked:
Hi. I’m curious to hear form women who have already had a child about whether they had an epidural or natural childbirth. I’ve read pros and cons about each. To be honest, I am not afraid of the pain at all, but I am extremely afraid of a needle being poked in my spinal area. Plus I’ve heard some not so great things about epidurals in general. Do any of you have any advice or words of wisdom?

I’m not due until February 13th, but would like to get started on my birth plan soon.
Thanks in advance for all of your help!
I only live 2 blocks from the hospital, so my intent is to labor at home as long as possible - I would rather be (un)comfortable in my home than uncomfortable in a hospital room.
My goal is to have a completely natural vaginal birth.
